Nik and Ian imaged from here for about 2 years with regular observations starting in June 2013. From May to October it was clear most nights, but in the winter, many days were lost to bad weather. This often caused problems with the power and network services. The roof motors on the shed cubicles were not that reliable either and sometimes needed to be changed.

It is certainly a great location when the sky is clear, but just too many hours were being lost due to bad weather. The ORM on La Palma is at 2,300 mtrs, but they lose many less nights in the winter. A pity this observatory was not located there... :-)
